Not more than two percent of the treasures of the Russian Museum are exhibited in the halls. Even famous masters have canvases that are known only to experts. The purpose of this album is to acquaint art lovers with the forgotten works of realistic painting of the nineteenth century. Short biographies of the artists are provided.
