Monitoring 1,5- anhydroglucitol in people with either type-1 or type- 2 diabetes mellitus can assist diabetic patients in determining if their blood glucose levels are frequently above 180 mg/dL, even in the presence of relatively good hemoglobin A1c levels or blood glucose monitoring.
