The Cup was won by Queen's Park who defeated Glasgow club 3rd Lanark RV 2–0 in a replayed final. Queen's Park Football Club are an association football club based in Glasgow, Scotland. The club are currently the only amateur club in the Scottish League; their amateur status is reflected by their motto, Ludere Causa Ludendi – to play for the sake of playing. Queen's Park are the oldest Association football club in Scotland, having been founded in 1867, and are the oldest outside of England and Wales, and play in the oldest football stadium in the world that is still in use today, Hampden Park, Scotland's National Stadium.
