High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! The 1994 European Grand Prix was a Formula One motor race held on October 16, 1994 at the Circuito Permanente de Jerez, Jerez, Spain. It was the 14th race of the 1994 Formula One season. This race originally was to be return of the Argentine Grand Prix, but those plans were aborted May 1994 as the track, which was undergoing modernization since 1991, was not finished yet. The FIA moved the race to Jerez and named it the European Grand Prix midseason. The series went to Argentina the following year for the 1995 Argentine Grand Prix. The European Grand Prix (sometimes referred to as the Grand Prix of Europe) is a Formula One event that was reintroduced during the mid-1980s and has been held regularly since 1999. From 2008 it will take place for at least another 7 years. In earlier years, the European Grand Prix was not a race in its own right but just a honorific title; one of the national Grands Prix was also designated as the European Grand Prix.
