High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! The 2000 Stanley Cup playoffs, the championship of the National Hockey League, began in April, and concluded in June. The sixteen teams that qualified, eight from each conference, played best-of-7 series for conference quarterfinals, semifinals and championships, and then the conference champions played a best-of-7 series for the Stanley Cup. The playoffs ended when the New Jersey Devils defeated the reigning champions the Dallas Stars in a six game series to win their second Stanley Cup title in their history.
