The 2001 Individual Speedway Junior World Championship took place on August 26, 2001 to determine the World Junior Champion. The final was won by Dawid Kujawa who qualified for the 2001 Speedway Grand Prix Challenge (a quailifying event for the 2002 Speedway Grand Prix) but he became injured and his place was taken by the runner-up Lukas Dryml. Dryml eventually qualified for the 2002 Speedway Grand Prix. The Individual Speedway Junior World Championship (usually referred to as the Speedway World Under 21 Championship) is an annual speedway event held each year organized by the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) since 1977. The current World Champion is Darcy Ward from Australia, who won in 2009 Final. Russian Emil Sayfutdinov is a first, and so far only, double U-21 World Champion, who won in 2007 and 2008 Finals.
