It was a series of international invitational competitions in the first half of the figure skating season. Skaters competed in the disciplines of men`s singles, ladies singles, pairs, and ice dancing over six events. Skaters earned a certain amount of points per placement. The top six scoring skaters or teams at the end of the series competed in the 2006–2007 Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final.
