The 333d Fighter Squadron is part of the 4th Fighter Wing at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina. It operates F-15E Strike Eagle aircraft conducting advanced fighter training. The 333d flew combat missions in Southeast Asia from, 12 December 1965-c. 6 October 1970. Between August 1971-February 1991 it trained pilots in tactical fighter attack aircraft to achieve capability to deploy worldwide, supported tactical aviation roles of counter-air, interdiction, and close air support.
