High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! The 34th Training Wing (34 TRW) is a wing of the United States Air Force based at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The commander of the 34th Training Wing is dual-hatted as the Commandant of Cadets at the Academy. During World War II, its predecessor unit, the 34th Bombardment Group (Heavy) was a Eighth Air Force heavy bombardment unit in England, stationed at RAF Mendlesham. Arriving in England two weeks before the end of the war, the group did not lose a single bomber to enemy fighter action over enemy territory. It was the oldest USAAF bomb group to serve with the Eighth Air Force.
