The 355th Fighter Wing (355 FW) is a wing of the United States Air Force stationed at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona.During World War II the group was an Eighth Air Force fighter unit stationed in England. Assigned to RAF Steeple Morden in 1943. It claimed 365 air and 502 ground aircraft destroyed, the most in the Eighth Air Force. It flew its last mission on 25 April 1945.
