Adam Jarzebski was an early baroque Polish composer, violinist, poet, and writer. The first documented mention of Jarzebski is in 1612, when he becomes a member of the chapel of Johann Siegmund Hohenzollern in Berlin. On 30 April 1615 he is granted permission to spend a year in Italy to advance his skills as a composer and knowledge of Italian music. Never having returned to Berlin, he moves to Warsaw and becomes a member of the Royal Chapel at the capital of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.
