The Admiral Kuznetsov class aircraft carriers (also known as the Brezhnev class, or the Kreml class) has two ships built, although only one was ever commissioned in the Soviet / Russian fleet, the Russian aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov (formerly Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union Kuznetsov). The only other ship in her class, Varyag, was never commissioned by the Soviet Union or Russia or Ukraine. She was sold to the People`s Republic of China, and later fitted for service with the Chinese navy.
