Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Aeonium canariense is a species of Aeonium, one of the few aeoniums with hairs all over the thick leaves. It tends to grow along the ground but the flowers stand up very tall. Aeonium canariense flower head 09.JPG Aeonium is a genus of about 35 species of succulent, subtropical plants of the family Crassulaceae. The name comes from the ancient Greek "aionos" (=immortal). Most of them are native to the Canary Islands. Some species are found in Madeira, Morocco and in eastern Africa (for example in the Semien Mountains of Ethiopia).
