Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Aeonium hierrense is a species in the genus Aeonium and has a stem but does not grow very tall. It takes on an attractive purple colour during the summer, being quite green in the winter. It produces whitish pink flowers. Aeonium is a genus of about 35 species of succulent, subtropical plants of the family Crassulaceae. The name comes from the ancient Greek "aionos" (=immortal). Most of them are native to the Canary Islands. Some species are found in Madeira, Morocco and in eastern Africa (for example in the Semien Mountains of Ethiopia).
