It was founded in 2001 by Dr Mark Waldrep, a professor of digital media arts at CSUDH, classically trained composer and audio engineer. The label was founded to take advantage of the new high definition, surround music format known as DVD-Audio. The label specializes in producing new recordings and currently has over 50 releases available in the DVD-Audio/Video format.
