Nachdem diese erfahren hatte, dass sich die Band nach dem Namen ihrer Webseite benannte, drohte sie damit, Alexisonfire zu verklagen. Da sie den Namen allerdings nie hatte schutzen lassen, musste sie davon ablassen. Ausgesprochen wird der Name als „Alexis on Fire“.
