Barry Lyne`s first experience of the Middle East was the result of spending much of his national service there over fifty years ago. He spent most of the time in Egypt and Jordan, and subsequently, as a result of working for a major international oil company and later a major computer company, made many visits to other parts of the Middle East, particularly Iraq. He has now retired and lives in Wales.
