Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Ammannia gracilis is a plant in the family Lythraceae, also known by the common names large ammannia, red ammannia, pink ammannia, and delicate ammania, and is native to West Africa. Stem plants have narrow, rather wavy leaves, growing opposite on an often robust stem. Depending on the light intensity, the leaves vary from a pale green to a bronzy red colour. They grow to about 5–8 inches (12–20 cm) or longer. The flowers are inconspicuous, growing from the leaf axils of emerse plants.
