High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Amydrium is a genus of flowering plants in the Araceae family that is endemic to Southeast Asia. It is distinguished from other members of the tribe Monstereae by having two ovules in each ovary. The seeds tend to be heart shaped. The leaves of Amydrium often show fenestration. Araceae is a family of monocotyledonous flowering plants in which flowers are borne on a type of inflorescence called a spadix. The spadix is usually accompanied by, and sometimes partially enclosed in, a spathe or leaf-like bract.
