This state-of-the-art work reviews the sulphide scavenging technology and discusses the laboratory evaluation to field application of two scavengers in water-base drilling fluids. Parameters that affect the reliability of these materials for removing sulphides and that of corrosion control effects on the drill pipes are emphasized.
