Arbutus arizonica (Arizona Madrone) is a tree species of southwestern North America, mostly in Mexico but also the United States, from the Sierra Madre Occidental cordillera, in the Ericaceae family. It is found from Jalisco in the south, to the north in Arizona and New Mexico in the Madrean Sky Islands region of mountain range sky islands in the southeast of Arizona, and the extreme southwest bootheel region of New Mexico; it occurs in Sonora, Chihuahua, and Durango, but possibly not in neighboring Sinaloa.
