The folk-inspired R&B ballad was produced by will.i.am, who also provided guest vocals on the song. "Baby Love" was released from September 18, 2007 by A&M and Interscope Records, as the mixed single from Her Name Is Nicole, following the poor commercial success of "Whatever U Like". However, the album was not released, and the song was released as a single of Doll Domination in Brazil, while being added on the compilation album, The Black Eyed Peas Family Best.
