September 1982 in Aschrafija) war christlich-maronitischer Milizenfuhrer und gewahlter Prasident des Libanon. Sein Vater Pierre Gemayel hatte 1936 nach einem Besuch in Deutschland die Kata'ib-(Falange)-Partei nach dem Vorbild der faschistischen Parteien in Europa gegrundet. Bachir Gemayel war der Grunder der Forces Libanaises (FL). Er zielte auf einen Libanon fur alle Libanesen und wollte im Burgerkrieg mit politischen Mitteln der Prasident aller Libanesen sein.
