Barking station is a railway station served by National Rail, London Underground and London Overground services. It is located in Barking in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham in northeast London, England. The station is in Zone 4, has nine platforms, and is managed by c2c. It has been proposed that ownership of the station could transfer to Transport for London. In 2009 the station was identified as one of the ten worst category B interchange stations for mystery shopper assessment of fabric and environment, and is set to receive a share of 50m funding for improvements. The station will become an interchange with the East London Transit in 2010.
