However due to unilateral declaration of independence of its southern province Kosovo, the festival was delayed until March 9 when the semi-finals took place and the finals which took place on March 10. The winner of this Beovizija will represent Serbia in the final of the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest on May 24, 2008, at the Belgrade Arena in Belgrade, Serbia
