High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Blacklock (1814 – 24 February 1831) was an British Thoroughbred racehorse. He raced from 1816 to 1819 and won sixteen of his twenty-two races, including three Great Subscription Purses and the York Gold Cup. After retiring from racing he became a successful stallion and was British Champion sire in 1829, the year his son Voltaire won the Doncaster Cup. During his racing career he was trained by Tommy Sykes. He was owned by Thomas Kirby as a two-year-old and by Richard Watt for the rest of his career.
