It is designed to provide high performance for SQL queries and also supports a proprietary API. It performs significantly faster than other open source DBMS and provides a nearly linear response time with respect to query complexity. In its current development stage it is optimized to serve as a query accelerator, where low latency is required for searches containing wildcards and fulltext (token) search features. Updates are supported only as bulk updates. While all data is kept in RAM at all times for query operations, snapshots on disk allow persistence of the data.
