Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Burchardia is a genus of herbs that are endemic to Australia. The genus is named for Johann Heinrich Burkhardt, a German botanist. The last of these occurs in Tasmania, South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland; the other four are endemic to Western Australia. Liliales is an order of monocotyledonous flowering plants. This order of necessity includes the family Liliaceae, but both the family and the order have had a widely disputed history, with the circumscription varying greatly from one taxonomist to another. Well known plants from the order include Lilium (lily), tulip, the North American wildflower Trillium, and greenbrier.
