High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! The Makaha Valley Jack-bean (Canavalia napaliensis) is a plant species in the legume family (Fabaceae). It used to be more widespread but today is found only on northwestern Kaua‘i in the Hawaiian Islands. It cannot be found at Makaha Valley on O‘ahu anymore. Its natural habitats are tropical dry forests, lowland moist forests, dry shrublands, and moist shrublands. It is threatened by habitat destruction, mainly due to introduced grazing mammals.
