It is located on the island of Lombok and the capital is Praya. The other adjoining Kabupaten of Lombok are the of West Lombok Regency, West Lombok Regency and the North Lombok Regency. The region was first incorporated accordance with Law Number 69 in the Year 1958. Tatas Tuhu Trasna, is the motto of the Central Lombok Regency.
