This research was aimed to fill the gap in research knowledge of factors that affect and influence perceived wellness and positive self concept among adults in rural population of sub- Sahara African towns. There is little research on issues that influence perceived wellness and other factors that affect mental health in the lives of adults as they go through life changing endeavors like enrollment or graduation from literacy program.
