Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Citrus macroptera is a semi-wild species of citrus grown primarily in the Sylhet Division of northeastern Bangladesh. Its fruit, which does not produce much juice, is about the size of a small grapefruit and is yellow when ripe. Very sour, somewhat bitter, and very aromatic, the fruit is seldom consumed raw or as a juice, but is instead sliced and cooked, either green or mature, in beef, mutton, and fish curries, as well as in stews. The fruit is also used in the preparation of Indian pickles.
