ClearOS (formerly named ClarkConnect) is a Linux distribution designed for use in small and medium enterprises as a network gateway and network server with easy to use web-based administration interface. ClearOS was created in 2009 from ClarkConnect by a team at ClearFoundation[2]. Non-profit ClearFoundation was founded by Point Clark Networks in 2009 to develop ClearOS and other software products based on open source software. ClearOS 5.1 is more free and open than ClarkConnect having previous restrictions to users for mail removed as well as access to DMZ and MultiWAN functions.
