High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Coleophora kuehnella is a moth of the Coleophoridae family. It is found in Europe (from Italy, across Central Europe up to Southern Scandinavia), the Caucasus and Turkey. The wingspan is 14–17 mm. The moth flies from May to July depending on the location. The larvae feed on Quercus, and supposedly also Prunus and Salix. Coleophora is a very large genus of moths of the family Coleophoridae. It contains some 1,000 described species. The genus is represented on all continents, but the majority are found in the Nearctic and Palaearctic regions. Many authors have tried splitting the genus into numerous smaller ones, but most of these have not become widely accepted.
