Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Columbia Records 1958-1986 is a compilation album released on Columbia Records in 1987. It contains 20 tracks from Cash's long stint with Columbia from 1958-1987. This album contains many of Cash's famous hits, including Ring Of Fire and Folsom Prison Blues, as well as some of his less-known recordings, such as Seasons of My Heart and Without Love. This album failed to chart, and none of the selections were released as singles. John R. "Johnny" Cash (February 26, 1932 – September 12, 2003), born J. R. Cash, was an American singer-songwriter, actor, and author, who has been called one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. Although he is primarily remembered as a country music artist, his songs and sound spanned many other genres including rockabilly and rock and roll—especially early in his career—as well as blues, folk, and gospel. Late in his career, Cash covered songs by several rock artists, among them the industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails and the synthpop band Depeche Mode.
