High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Continuous transdermal alcohol monitoring is a method of monitoring the alcohol consumption of an individual. An electronic device worn around the body, usually in the form of an anklet or bracelet, estimates the blood alcohol content of the wearer by measuring the ethanol concentration of their perspiration. As of August 2010, the only continuous transdermal alcohol monitoring bracelets on the market are the Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitoring device, which was introduced in 2003 by Alcohol Monitoring Systems, Inc. and the Transdermal Alcohol Detector introduced by BI Incorporated in 2009.
