"Cork" Graham, aka Frederick Graham (November 29, 1964 - ) is a former combat photographer who was imprisoned in Vietnam for illegally entering the country while looking for treasure buried by Captain Kidd. Frederick "Cork" Graham was born on November 29, 1964. He lived in Vietnam from 1968 to 1972 where his father worked as an electrical engineer. He was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity, and after dropping out of College of San Mateo, he went back to Southeast Asia in April 1983 with the desire to be a photojournalist. He arrived at Bangkok, planning to photograph the war waged by Cambodia's Khmer Rouge. But "with no experience and fewer contacts, Graham found no work". Graham later recalls "I was living on five dollars a day in the slums of Bangkok. You know the atmosphere, rats. . . ."
