High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Darryl Jones, also known as "The Munch", is an American bass guitarist. He is highly regarded for his stylish bass-playing in jazz, blues, and rock music. He is most well known for playing with The Rolling Stones, of which he has been an unofficial member for more than fifteen years. Jones was born in Chicago, Illinois, and attended Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He joined Miles Davis' band in 1983, was mentored as a young jazz musician protege by Davis, and recorded with Davis playing bass guitar on the Miles Davis albums Decoy and You're under Arrest
