David Paul Roselle is an American mathematician and academic who served as the 25th President of the University of Delaware. David Roselle was born in Vandergrift, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Pittsburgh. He married Louise Helen Dowling, a native of Manhasset, New York, in 1967. The couple have two children, Arthur and Cynthia. In 1961, Roselle received a Bachelor's degree from West Chester State College. In 1965, he received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Duke University. Within the field of Mathematics, Roselle specializes in Number Theory, Combinatorics, and Eulerian mathematical functions
