Its founding principals are John Denton, Bill Corker, and Barrie Marshall. The firm now also has offices in London, Manchester and Jakarta. DCM have been responsible for some of Australia's more notable architecture, including the Melbourne Museum, which features a 'blade', a section of roof rising to 35 metres, enclosing a small rainforest, the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre, which has a roof resembling a giant aircraft wing, as well as the Melbourne Gateway and Bolte Bridge, both part of the CityLink project. Other projects undertaken by DCM include the award-winning Manchester Civil Justice Centre, a new visitors' centre at Stonehenge, Australian embassies in Tokyo and Beijing, Sydney's Governor Phillip Tower, the Museum of Sydney, and extensions to the Australian War Memorial. In 2005, John Denton was appointed as State Architect for Victoria. The role aims to promote good design in the built environment in Victoria.
