High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! This is a discography of Devo, an American new wave band formed in 1972 by Gerald Casale, Bob Lewis and Mark Mothersbaugh. Devo currently consists of brothers Mark Mothersbaugh (synthesizers, lead vocals) and Bob Mothersbaugh (guitar and vocals), Gerald Casale (guitar, keyboards, Vocals) and Bob Casale (guitar, keyboards, vocals), and Josh Freese (drums). The band rose to prominence in the US during the New Wave era with their single "Whip It". The band have released eight studio albums, four extended plays, thirteen compilation albums, five live albums and 25 singles. Before signing a record contract with Warner Bros. in the US, the band released several singles on the Stiff Records label that charted in the UK but which failed to chart in the US. Devo followed up with their debut full-length album Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo! in July 1978. The album reached #12 in the UK and #78 in the US. In 1980, Devo released Freedom of Choice which went Platinum in the US and Gold in Canada, making it their highest selling album.
