It is compatible with more than 50 international vendors for a variety of e-commerce, e-banking, e-networking and e-government applications. It uses time and/or challenge based two-factor authentication and can be used to sign electronic transactions. It has been invented in 1989 by Dominique COLARD from Belgium.
