High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Domestic Blitz is an Australian lifestyle and DIY television series that originally aired on the Nine Network from 18 May 2008 to 18 April 2010. The series is based on the format of Backyard Blitz, which had previously aired on the Nine Network, and generally occupied its same former timeslot of Sunday 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Rather than rewarding nominated candidates with solely a garden makeover though, Domestic Blitz introduced the element of house renovations as well. The series also exhibits similarities to the American television series Extreme Makeover: Home Edition in that the candidates either come from a disadvantaged background, or include someone with a terminal illness.
