Dougie Lee Poynter is an English musician who is the bass guitarist and vocalist for the British pop punk band McFly who along with fellow band members Danny Jones, Tom Fletcher and Harry Judd rose to fame after the release of their first single, "Five Colours in Her Hair", which reached #1 in the charts as did their following debut album Room on the Third Floor. McFly were signed to Island Records before creating their own Indie label, Super Records in December 2007. Poynter is the band's youngest member having joined the band at the age of 15
