Heterotermes indicola(Wasmann) and Odontotermes obesus(Rambur)are economically important urban and agricultural pests in Pakistan In this study toxicity repellency and tunneling ability of two termite species was examined using five insecticide formulations Insecticides used were Imidacloprid Chlorfenapyr Fipronil and Biflex® and Cadusafos Present study also reveals that Chlorfenapyr and Imidacloprid were non-repellent and Fipronil was repellent at two higher concentrations but non repellent for rest of concentrations for both species of termites Cadusafos was repellent insecticide for both termite species used in study For both species Biflex® was repellent at higher concentrations but non repellent to two lower concentrations When tunneling behavior was observed for O.obesus it did not showed tunnel at any concentration for any insecticide even at control because of its mound building nature H.indicola showed tunneling with Imidacloprid and Chlorfenapyr at all concentrations while in Fipronil at five lower concentrations and with Biflex® at two lower concentrations whereas no tunneling was observed with Cadusafos due to its highly repellent nature
