El Cartel: The Big Boss is the eighth studio album by Puerto Rican reggaeton performer Daddy Yankee and was released on June 5, 2007 by El Cartel Records and through Interscope Records. The production done for the album was mostly reggaeton and hip hop producers. Hip hop producer like Scott Storch, Akon, will.i.am and Just Blaze display their signature producing style. Also, Daddy Yankee production from last album Barrio Fino was done by Luny Tunes, Eli “El Musicologo”, Nely "El Arma Secreta", as well as new producers like Mr. Collipark, Humby, Tainy, Menes, Echo, Diesel and Diaz Brothers.
