High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Federico Heraclio Cantu Garza was a Mexican painter, engraver and sculptor. Since he was 14 years of age, Cantu studied art at the Air Schools of Painting with Ramos Martinez.He was also cofounder of the Salon de la Plastica Mexicana and the Escuela Nacional de Pintura, Escultura y Grabado "La Esmeralda".Cantu Garza was son of the physician Adolfo Cantu Jauregui and his wife, the writer Maria Luisa Garza aka "Loreley". He visited the open air painting school of Coyoacan, and traveled to Europe and the United States from 1924 until the mid 1930s. During this time, he lived in the Rue Delambre in Montparnasse from 1924 to 1934. He exhibited in the Exposition Park Museum in Los Angeles, California in 1929, and his wife Luz Fabila spent her academic years with Frida Kahlo from 1922 to 1924.
