Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. The Focke- Achgelis Fa 225 was a rotary wing glider built in Germany by Focke-Achgelis that was in service between 1942 and 1945. Only one of the single-seater aircraft was ever built. In the first half of the Second World War, the assault glider was used primarily to land troops and supplies, but was found of limited capability as it needed a large landing area. If the landing area was restricted by obstacles, the landing run of the glider could be shortened by nose breaking rockets. Carl Bode led the first flight in the aircraft, which took only seven weeks to construct, aged 27.
