High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Gee Vaucher was born in 1945 in Dagenham, East London. Her work with Anarcho-punk band Crass was seminal to the 'protest art' of the 1980s. Vaucher has always seen her work as a tool for social change. In her collection of early works (1960-1997) Crass Art and Other Pre Post-Modernist Monsters, Gee is shown to use paints and collages to show her strong anarcho-pacifist, and feminist views through her artwork. Gee also uses the surrealist method to express her aforementioned ideals and styles.
