Sir Gilbert Thomas Carter KCMG (14 January 1848 – 18 January 1927) was an administrative officer in the Royal Navy and later a colonial official who served as a Collector of Customs for the Gold Coast and a Treasurer of the Gold Coast and The Gambia. He also served as an Administrator for The Gambia, and as Governor for the Lagos Colony, The Bahamas, Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago.
